Inaugural Season Community Poster Design Contest

A citywide call for Long Beach artists to create a piece that captures baseball, community, and the spirit of the LBC.

In partnership with Long Beach Airport and Arts Council for Long Beach, we’re inviting artists across Long Beach to submit original designs for our official Inaugural Season Community Poster.

The selected design will be distributed to fans during Opening Week on Thursday, June 4 and featured in an exhibition at Long Beach Airport all season long.

Who Can Enter

• Open Division (18+)

• Youth Division (17 & under)

Design Brief

Create a poster that:

• Celebrates the energy and culture of baseball 

• Reflects community and local identity

• Think: summer nights, fans, movement, culture, and community

• Can include: 'Inaugural Season' or 'Opening Week' reference (not required)

Design Requirements: 

• 11"x17", 300 DPI, JPG/PNG/PDF, print-ready file

• No offensive imagery, language, or the like

Judging Criteria:

• Creativity, alignment, visual impact, print suitability 
• Panel includes Long Beach artist Francisco Reyes Jr. and representatives from the Long Beach Coast, Long Beach Airport, and Arts Council for Long Beach

Prizes

Open Division (18+)

• $1,000 cash prize 

• Official poster stadium giveaway during Opening Week on June 4, 2026

• Four (4) tickets to the game on June 4, 2026

• Ceremonial first pitch on June 4, 2026

• On-field pregame recognition on June 4, 2026

• Artwork featured in the stadium concourse gallery

• Season-long installation at Long Beach Airport

• Featured across LBC and LGB social channels

Youth Division (17 & Under)

• $250 cash prize 

• Four (4) tickets to the game on June 4, 2026 

• “Play Ball Kid” on-field experience on June 4, 2026

• On-field pregame recognition on June 4, 2026

• Artwork featured in the stadium concourse gallery

• Featured across LBC and LGB social channels

Top 10 Finalists (Each Division)

• Two (2) tickets to the game on June 4, 2026 

• On-field pregame recognition on June 4, 2026

Key Dates

• Submission Deadline: May 17

• Finalists Announced: May 22
